ATI Systems to Design and Install Mass Notification System for Iowa Army National Guard
November 15, 2011
Acoustic Technology Inc. (ATI Systems) of East Boston, MA was awarded the contract for the design and installation of a state of the art mass notification system for the Iowa Army National Guard located at Camp Dodge in Johnston, Iowa. The new system features 6 of ATI’s High Powered Speaker Stations (HPSS16), 1 of ATI’s Indoor Speaker Units (ISU) and 2 control stations for activating, controlling and monitoring the entire system. ATI was selected based on providing superior voice and tonal clarity over a wide coverage area. In addition, the new system’s strength is that it allows for many methods of notifications such as text messages, telephone alerts, email and desktop alerts. The mass notification system delivers clear and intelligible tone and voice commands in mission-critical situations. ATI worked in conjunction with Baker Electric of Des Moines, Iowa on the installation phase of the project. The installation was started in early September 2011 and will be completed before the end of this year.
